How many Dal's do you have?
Hi all :D
Hi there. If you've been to PUDDLE you may have met me. This year will be my 5th year attending. The last 2 years I've been a vendor selling stuff such as doll wigs and other accessories. I've been collecting Pullip dolls since 2007 when I got my first doll, Veritas. My first Dal was Clair. I was at AnimeIowa swap meet and someone had her up for swap!! I told the girl that I would trade about anything I had in order to get that girl. It was the most epic trade I've ever had at a swap meet. Later I got Colline. I love her little curls!
A bit about me. I'm married and a mother of 2 kids. Thomas (age 15) and Adeline (age 6)
When I'm not traveling to conventions I spend my time with my kids and playing geeky board games. New Years was spent with a bunch of friends watching weird Japanese movies and playing Betrayal at House on the Hill and Cards Against Humanity. I'm a huge fan of Japan and someday would like to visit.
I look forward to talking with you all on here and getting to know you more. If you don't mind, in your comments below, please let me know some of the strangest reactions you get when you carry your dolls around with you at conventions. I'll start with saying that at every convention I attend I have at least one person come by, stare at the dolls and mutter "Ohhh....Dolls....Creepy..." My favorite reaction, though, is when people practically pass out from excitement from seeing the dolls there for sale.

What a fun way to do an intro thread! I definitely have too many Dals to count. Well, I could....but I won't.
I don't remember exactly what she said, but a woman once made a snide comment to me, when I was photographing a doll in the park, about still being a child or acting like a child. Made me want to stick my tongue out her.
I also enjoy the oohs and aahs of excitement when people see the dolls. I participate in two sales a year in my town, just downsizing my own doll stuff. The excited reactions from doll fans who've never seen a Dal or Pullip in person are priceless.

Welcome to the forum!
I only have three Dals, well...technically four, but it might be three shortly. I tend to be very self conscious about bringing my dolls out in public but on the few occasions that I have, I also have had the "creepy doll" comment as well as the odd stares.

Welcome! I definitely fall in the "too many to count" category. Although I keep a spreadsheet inventory and I could easily find out if I wanted to know.
The only convention I've been to with my dolls in PUDDLE, so no strange comments from there. And I haven't taken my dolls out in public very much.

Hello and welcome! I have 3 Dals, all purchased last year after finally caving into their pouty charms.
I recently took Kasia to a convention (I vend down here in the southeast with my book, not doll related) and had her on the table in her Rement chef's coat and several people were quite interested in her. I don't think I heard any negative comments.
But before I got my girls, my friend who introduced me to Pullips, etc. had one of her girls at a party and none of us had ever seen one in person. Well, my friend made the doll's eyes shift and my sister in law (who had been drinking a bit more than we realized) got so freaked out she hid behind my brother!
