Third Challenge: Ride

Everyone's rides are awesome

Hoping to squeeze in a photo tomorrow... I have a plan and a back-up plan, but still not wild about either of them. Hoping last-minute inspiration will strike!

CB, your "ride" is the cutest! And I love the movement to yours, Marsian.

My original idea was going to involve the small “playground” area at our apartment complex...which unfortunately tends to flood when there’s even a little rain, so it was kind of a mud pit! I still want to take the photo I had in mind there, eventually, when it gets a bit drier!

I love the diversity in all the photo's! So much creativity and diversity in all the types of rides, I laughed so hard when I saw your picture Jahtzeen: the glasses on little Dal make it look as if they had a wild ride

Haha thanks! I didnt have a aviator/bike goggles on hand so i used those hypnotic ones i have instead! I love your skateboard ride pic. It's so amazing!

My apologies for being a slow poke with the judging.  First off, some comments on the photos.

As someone mentioned, there was a wide variety of rides and no duplicates.  I'm amazed by all the different kinds rides you all came up with for this theme!

jahzteen - The slanted line of the road in the background gives me the impression of Ronjwen speeding along the highway with her little friend.  I like how she appears to be looking at something I can't see.  Is she about to make a turn?

TrueFan - You did a great job of making me believe Clemency is part of the Harry Potter world and really flying/riding her broom and playing quidditch.  She looks like she has either just caught or is preparing to throw the snitch.

Offgenemi - A fun shot of Guu riding her bike.  Her friend seems to be excited about where they are going and the puppies in the basket are a cute detail.

Alliecat - Samantha looks like she's out for a wild ride!  The jointed horse is arranged in a realistic gallop while Samantha looks like she's enjoying riding the wind.  You always have some of the best outdoor scenery and do an excellent job of framing it so it looks in scale to the dolls.

The_amphibian - Great job of making me believe Ennui is on a balloon ride!  Using the  camera angle of looking up at her adds to the illusion.  I also like how she is waving to unseen others who are watching from below.

Greysprincess - Poor Clover!  But an interesting twist on theme, since the rides are in the background.  Clover even looks somewhat disappointed at missing out on the fun.

dargosmydaddy - Ha!  I never would have guessed anyone would be riding a dinosaur skeleton.  But it suits Zadie's gothy look and attitude right down to the open jaws threatening to chomp me.

Severity - It looks like some bribery was required in order for Cymballine to get a ride.  Is she giggling or contemplating what else she can talk them into doing?

Marsian - A nice action shot!  Nora's crouched position and the way her hair looks achieves the sensation of her speeding along on the skateboard while her friend is looking on in the background.

CornflowerBlue - Me, I had great plans to build a fantasy scene for Holly to go riding in and that didn't happen.  Oh, well.
