Dal FAQs Empty Dal FAQs

I thought we should have answers to some frequently asked questions about Dal. Feel free to ask additional questions, just don't be surprised if they are deleted after the information is evaluated for inclusion in the FAQs.

Some of Dal's measurements:
Height - 10.5 inches
Bust - 3.5 inches
Waist - 2.5 inches
Hips - 3.5 inches
Head circumference - 8.7 inches
Neck circumference - 1.3 inches
Arm length - 3 inches (shoulder to tips of fingers)
Leg length - 4.5 (hip socket to top of foot)
Shoulder width - 1 3/8 inches
Foot length - 7/8 inch
***
Eyes: 12 mm
Wigs: size 8, 8-9, 9, depending on the brand

Obitsu bodies: 21, 23, or 25 cm are used most often. For most Dals (if not all Dals except Another Rabbit so far), white is the best color. On the 21 cm at least, you can keep the Dal torso and attach the arms and rest of the body onto it, giving her neck stability.
***
Floppiness: Wrapping the abdomen knob with something can reduce a Dal's floppiness, as can tightening the screws in her back. Also check for a split between her legs if she is excessively floppy. You can try gluing it back together if she is split, but it rarely stays fixed permanently.

Inside a Dal head/removing chips:

Once the three screws are removed, the inside looks like this:

Once the eye mechanism screws are removed, the inside of the face looks like this:

A blunt object wrapped in cloth can be used to gently but firmly poke the chips out from the back:

Yes, especially if the doll has split between the legs. That's pretty impossible to fix. But the knobs can be wrapped if it's not that.
