My goal was to come up with challenges that I would like to do and that wouldn't be so difficult as to discourage people from doing them. Since the whole point is to celebrate Dal's 10th Anniversary, I wanted it to be something fun you could do with your Dals and not feel pressure to be competitive.

True, if you didn't notice, I've extended the deadline for entries, since I've got a lot going on the first week of October.

Feriha is all about food, usually she likes to cook for others. I was having a mango yougurt snack myself and she looked a bit hungry so why not try it. she never had mango before, but she liked it! although this means we will have to share next time

In Florida it is hard to find signs of fall when I left home to shop today I was looking around, searching fall signs, of course none was available. But in the grocery store they had a bunch of different types pumpkins. Yay that is my sign

Teenytinymini-size snacks are hard!  Penny's having dessert.  She's got 2 little slices of banana, some (melting) key lime sherbet, and a chocolate chip.  And some milk in her mug.  She looks kinda bummed it's not something stronger.

Years ago there was a TV commercial, I forget what for, where a woman spots the first fallen leaf of autumn on the sidewalk, looks horrified, and runs away screaming.  I think of that commercial every year; that is so totally me.  I hate the cold, I hate the earlier evenings, I hate the end of the growing season, I dread the long winter to come.  (Yes, I live in the wrong climate zone.)
So, here are Janice & Penny being equally horrified.

My Dal wardrobe is not nearly as extensive as my Pullip and Taeyang clothes, but I recently bought this Skipper dress that Harper has taken quite a shine to. And I had a pair of freakishly small Barbie shoes that I could just about squeeze on her feet.

ETA: Challenge #6

Misa the Drta has graced the scavenger hunt with her first appearance. She was happy to volunteer for this challenge because she loves snacks. She's shown here with her bowl of ice cream. (The bowl is a cap from a bottle of soda pop, and the spoon is a cut-up straw. I used frosting for the 'ice cream' and the sprinkles and chocolate chips are real).

I always thought cicadas are gone in the Fall. Are they around all the time? (I love the sounds cicadas make, but we don't have any here).

Sometimes you can still find the empty dried exoskeletons they leave behind when they emerge from the larval stage.

Find a rock.  This will be your Dal's new pet.   Tell us what name your Dal gives her pet rock and take a photo of her doing something pet-like with it.

And indeed that is an empty skin. I hadn't planned to do the bug challenge, but noticed the cicada while taking the hat photo under the oak tree.

One down! I actually found this spider, which I embellished and made into hair accessory for me ages ago, and subsequently lost, the day before I was reading through the scavenger hunt tasks.  I think it was a sign I needed to get off my duff and take a photo.  Tezca was happy to oblige, and I think has a new pet.

Awe thank you! And for me, if I could, every month would be Halloween. As it is, when we aren't in my in-laws' house (we caregive for Dear Hubby's dad) generally from October until the beginning of February is Nightmare before X-mas themed. Much easier than setting up for 3 holidays.
