June 2021--Hot Dal Summer Photo Challenge

It's me again. Sick of me yet?


It definitely feels like summer...so let's celebrate this season with some summery photo prompts.

1) Enter as many photos as you have time or energy for. (One photo per theme--themes posted in the 2nd post of this topic).
2) Photos can be posted in any order--just be sure to label your post with which theme it is for.
3) Each photo counts as one entry in the prize drawing at the end of the month.
4) Deadline to post is June 30.
5) Dal must appear in the photo, though other dolls are welcome to also be in the photo.
6) Be as elaborate or simple as you like with the photos.The photos are not judged--it's far better to have fun, so no pressure!

We are almost done with the Dalicious color-themed photos, so perhaps I will use some of these for a future banner. (That's incentive to participate! )

Yes! These photos really evoke that summery feeling.

Alliecat—the crew looks gorgeous in their summer outfits, and the little sailboat and beach ball props are really cute!

Dargosmydaddy—I’m with Miranda, definitely an ice cream kinda day (isn’t it always?! ). And your thyme looks great. Mine is not doing so hot in my container garden.

Any day is an ice-cream kinda day around here. Not so great day? Make it better with ice cream. Good thing happened? Celebrate with ice cream
Henri looks quite meditative there. I find myself staring at my garden in much the same way sometimes!

Summer Reading and post-PUDDLE work is severely limiting my doll photo time! Loving all the photos though!

It's hard to find Pullip-size bathing suits that fit well, let alone Dal-size. Did you make it?

It's a Creatable World bathing suit... I think their clothes have been touted as a good fit for Isul, but in my opinion they look nice on Dal, too. My Dals have modelled a couple of their floral blouses in the past, as well as the bathing suit.

Ooh, lemonade! For a sec I thought the glass had a ship in it (easier than putting a ship in a bottle, I would imagine...), but now I'm realizing it's on the side (I think?).

And the turtle is adorable!

Nice job with the fireworks theme -- some of these are tricky!
They are such great prompts, and I wish I had more time to do more of them.  I want to do "camping" but the girls' tent isn't here yet (yes, they're getting one).  I didn't get to do all the ones I wanted to on the beach because it was so windy it would've lifted the minis right off and dumped them out to sea, in the spot I had in mind for the last one.  Oh well... couple of days left...

...although I'm not sure whether she thinks being lost in a field of giant flowers is fun or not.

They are such great prompts, and I wish I had more time to do more of them.

Maybe a future month's challenge should be "prompts we didn't get to the first time..."

So many cute photos! I guess I should have tried to some of these with Red, which it doesn't do any good to think of that now!

Work and rain meant no more outdoor photos here. But we squeezed in one last pic.

3. Ice cream etc.


We love our ice cream. And frozen yogurt has less fat so you can eat more. Dig in, girlfriend!

I'm so behind on ... everything. I love Samantha making lemonade! And the swimsuit! I'm so glad I bought those PUDDLE life preservers.
