A Doll A Day 2022:

22 June - Construction Crew: Triv, Janie, and Addie

23 June - Addie Discovers Remnants of Stone Age Tool Making

24 June - Staining Wooden Poles

25 June - Dinner Date
"So... Antonio Banderas invited us over for dinner, and his roommate is George Clooney?"
"I know, we must be dreaming, right?"
I apologize for the down time. Things have been busy here... as the pictures somewhat illustrate.

26 June - A Cute Scalene Triangle
"Ten feet four inches!"
"Fourteen feet nine inches!"
"Fourteen feet even!"
"Mark your points! We're good to go!"
Janie, Triv, and Addie engage in some serious measuring and mathematics.
What can I say? They're smart dolls!

Full disclosure: there is some camera trickery involved here. See the girl with the red hat? See the tree above her head? Behind that tree, across the river in the valley, is a house.
A big honkin'-&$$ house that wasn't there until two years ago.
The valley is being subdivided in to "rural lots" of three to five acres apiece. When I moved in here there were no houses in the section of the valley that I can see. Now there are five, and it appears that ground is being broken for another. The closest house has constructed several outbuildings and is in the process of adding another.
The houses are across a highway and across a river, so I have no immediate neighbors, and they're far enough away that I rarely hear them, but the rich sons of b-----s from California are moving in and building mega-mansions that they call "cabins" throughout the area.
I'm beginning to wonder where to move to next.

27 June - New Dolly Market User Icon: Pullip Lala
Since the days of the Pinky-Street forum, my user icon on doll and toy forums has been Fräulein Ilsa (a customized Pinky Street Arcueid Brunestud figure).
Today, however, a discussion topic at the Dolly Market forum about San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) exclusive Pullip dolls reminded me that my very first Pullip, Lala, was a Comic Con exclusive release. Since Dolly Market originated as primarily a Pullip & Friends online forum, it seemed appropriate that my user icon there should reflect that. Additionally, Lala has been dressed similarly to Fräulein Ilsa for quite some time (over ten years), so today it finally occurred to me... derrr... to recreate my original Pinky-Street user icon in Pullip style.
This is my attempt in that regard.
I suppose I ought to make a Dal version of my user icon for The Dal House, huh? Maybe I'll do that... someday... in the next ten years or so.
NOTE: The "Don't worry, pets" line is from a photo-story that appeared on the Pinky-Street forum back in, like, 2007.

Is the Pinky forum story archived somewhere?
Nice land everywhere is being carved up and subdivided. Trying to find something that's not in the middle of a future "development" is a challenge.
Well.... at least your neighbours are across a highway and across a river, so they're not 60 feet from your bed with their earthmoving and exploding dump truck tailgates.
The grass is always greener somewhere else >sigh<

A few pages are saved on the Internet Archive site, I think, but most of it is long gone.
One of the former members of the forum, Dr. Sork, maintains a page devoted to Pinky Street figures and Pentax cameras: Pinky Pentax

I sold most of my "first round" of Pullips a long time ago, because I thought I was done with Pullips, too. But I still have Lala.

1 July - A Doll A Day 2022:

1 July - Julie London / Bobby Troup Action Play Set
Ermm... okay, not really.
But there should be a Julie London / Bobby Troup set! Or a Julie London / Jack Webb set.

It was the closest figure I had! It's not like Bobby Troup is a popular subject for action figures! I might try to paint the hair a bit to get a closer resemblance.
A Doll A Day 2022:
Playing catch-up!

2 July - Doll House Room Box -- Work in Progress
... or lack of progress. I think I started this project three years ago. May have been even longer. It's been sitting in the storage shed for ages, and has gradually filled up with junk. Solo in the Spotlight Barbie gives the place a quick once-over and declares: Burn it!

3 July - Janie unloads another truck-load of lumber for the deck project

4 July - It Was Addie's Turn for Dump Duty This Week

5 July - Triv Fills Fuel Cans

6 July - "Calico Death?"
"That sounds ominous!"
"Ominous... but colorful!"

7 July - "Y'all Don't Come Back Now, Y'Hear?"

8 July - Janie attends to some detail work underneath the deck

9 July - We Interrupt This Job for Another Job:
Clearing a Clogged Drain!

"Ewww! Why do I always get stuck with jobs like this?

"How's that? Gross enough for ya?"

Is that a real no-trespassing sign?! O_O
The pic underneath the deck - that looks like a narrow space. You wiggled in to pose her? :O
The drainage pic - I can't believe you made her hold that.

The sign is on a gate at a neighbor's house up the road. I think it is meant to be funny.

I used a zoom lens to get the pics while Janie was working under the deck.

When it comes to plumbing, grossness is part of the job! That's why she makes the big bucks!

I should probably try to broaden my horizons by taking pictures of something other than dolls hauling trash to the dump.
Oh well... art imitates life, I guess.
