Aloha from Hawaii! Empty Aloha from Hawaii!

Post  KiraKira Wed Apr 06, 2011 4:53 am

Hi there! I was told about this forum by my DollyMarket friend, lilbrokenragdoll. I mostly collect Taeyangs and Pullips (I've got five girls & five boys), but I also have two Dals and one teeny-tiny BJD. I am also registered on ShopADollic and DollyMarket as KiraKira.

Hmmm. I'm an adult collector who works full time as a librarian in a public library. After work, I go home to my other job--my 24/7 job as wife & mom. In my spare time, besides dolly things, I like videogames; I am playing Pokemon White on my DS currently, Final Fantasy VII for the third time on my PS2 (yes, I'm a dork), and Just Dance 2 on wii. I also read. A lot. I like to dabble in all sorts of things such as cooking and baking, beaded jewelry, greeting cards, crafts, and so on. My husband bought me a sewing machine last year (or was it this year? My memory fails me), so I'm playing around with sewing clothes for the dollies. Smile

I'm not really a fan of introductory posts--I honestly don't know what to write. Just that I hope to enjoy my time here and learn a few things/tips/tricks, etc. I'm pleased to meet you all. Thanks for reading my introduction. Laughing

Yay, more librarians! Very Happy I'm going to be a librarian eventually. Probably a young adult librarian for public libraries, but I am definitely not sure.

Welcome! Laughing

Welcome! I love Wii Just Dance 2! I'm using it for my aerobic workout, much more fun than an exercise video since I can dance to different tunes each time.

Love Shake it like a Polaroid picture! Love

Hi Shann!

Very Happy Yaaay, you made it here! Even though I know you reasonably well, I still enjoyed reading your intro.

As a kid, one of my dream jobs was librarian. I think it must be an enjoyable job to have. Also, being in the capacity to get kids reading and help them find what they're interested in is a very noble thing. The librarian at the library near where we used to live was a positive force in my son's life (he has a hard time finding interesting books he hasn't read, since he has been reading on his own since he was three) and we're grateful for that.

Also...what I wouldn't do to get my hands on a copy of FF7 for the PS2! They are always so expensive when I do see them for sale.

Welcome! I'm glad you're here!

Very Happy
