June: Happy Birthday Swap

It’s not June yet, but as June is PUDDLE month and here in the Dalhouse the activity is a swap for that month I’m making a head start to ensure every one who wants to participate has enough time to do so.

The Birthday Swap is a low key swap. You and your participating Dal will send a small gift (or some small gifts) worth about $10, If you want to spend more that is up to you. You can send a gift for the human (candy, card,… ) but the majority of the gift should be for Dal.


THEME
The theme is Birthday. You can interpret this as you like. Receiving a gift on your birthday is very Birthdayish, so you can give something that you think she might like based on her bio or maybe items related to birthday celebrations that she might like (birthday cake, candy, balloons, birthday card, games...)


SIGN UP
To sign up, PM me your real name, address and Dal’s name. Also reply to this thread with a photo of your Dal with a little character bio: this will help the gift giver with choosing a birthday present. You can sign up more than 1 Dal: If you sign up 2 Dals you will be assigned 2 swap partners.

If there are items you absolutely do not want, you can include a note. The same goes if your Dal has a wish list. If you don’t want to ship international, please include that in the note also.

If you are participating and see a Dal you would like to send a gift, let me know as soon as possible so I can assign her to you.


MAIN RULES
1. Signing up is a commitment. Being busy in real life is not an excuse for not sending a gift to your assigned partner.
2. When you receive your gifts post photos of all that goodness in the "Birthday swap show and tell" thread.
3. If you have a question about your assigned Dal, use me as a messenger to keep the surprise.

Hi, it's me Tekka-Maki, again! I appeared earlier in another thread when May taught us all how to make headphones. And when I found out that I would be the one to participate in this birthday swap, I just couldn't believe it! Some of the things I like to do when I have free time is play videogames. I like eating sushi, and doing origami. I think it is great that Dals get all the attention here! There has never been a better time to be a Dal.

Hi, I am Elinor! I am one of TrueFan's oldest Dals, so I am super excited to be chosen to participate in a swap! I used to live on a farm with my parents and brothers, but I became ill and lost the use of my legs. My aunt and uncle invited me to live with them and my cousin Marianne, because they live in town and it is much easier to get around in my wheelchair and go to school there. I like pretty things, and I can't wear pants.

Hi my name is Şehvar (shehvar). I think I deserve to join the swap, I have been working so hard to keep our dolly room organized and clean, cook snacks for everyone and model for photos. I like pink and purple hues. I just love to be surrounded with pretty things. Some people think I am possessive and hard to please, but in fact I am just very loving and know what I want looking forward to meet a friend

How is everyone doing? I've got all my supplies for what I'm planning but I've not actually done anything with them yet. I hope to change that this week sometime. At least make some progress....

I know I was debating as to whether or not to wait for shopping at Mitsuwa during PUDDLE or to plunge ahead.

I'm hoping to see something I like at the vendor booths!

I am still planing what to do. I put a few things on the side, but I need one big item to make impact

Started making something small, and have a tiny thing to include, but still unsure for a decent-sized gift... hoping something hits me over the head with its perfectness sooner rather than later

Did all my shopping and in debate if I should include a handmade item, and if so what it should be. Can't believe how fast time is going, Already mid May
