Re: April: Earth Day swap
I'm mailing my partner's gift tomorrow, and I'm sending everyone who participated in this swap a haiku card. Be on the lookout!
Re: April: Earth Day swap
That’s a really cute outfit—Eiri is so nice to share it with Harbinger! I love the flower headband...

I'm glad you like it. I enjoyed making it and the beading on the top was fun to do.

From Serina & KiraKira to Whisper & Hugosdaughter
A most interesting box. Packages sealed with stickers and a card.
The pictures do not do the card justice. The inside verse is most fitting.
The back reads "Color me" I will soon.
The seed bombs will be planted in my garden. It is still too cold - We must wait for Memorial day to ensure they will germinate.
We love everything. The dress and headband bring Spring to the doll shelf. Whisper has her own plant and a pet turtle and I have candy.
Thank you for making Earth Day so special.

Very cute outfits and accessories for both!
I'm down to making a card and then I'll be ready to ship.

Hugosdaughter, Glad to see that the swap goodies reached you and Whisper. Hopefully the spring time dress, headband, and other stuff will help you both pass the time while you wait for the winter chill to thaw so you can plant those seed bombs.
My big dilemma was deciding what kind of pet to send Whisper...I was trying to decide amongst a turtle, a snail, and a frog. Obviously, the turtle won.

Yes, the turtle is perfect. It snowed on Sunday - hope that is the last of it. I will post pictures of the flowers when the come up.

Sanada received a lovely package the other day. Here she is with her new turtle dress, flower headband, turtle necklace, and little turtle. Thanks so much, TrueFan!

Re: April: Earth Day swap
Here are the four cards I made for Earth Day from a book of haiku that was discarded at my library. I intended them to be a little more repurposed-book-arty, but it turns out I'm terrible at turning old book pages into art. So I framed them instead.

Re: April: Earth Day swap
Tinkerbell finally got a chance to open her swap gifts from dargosmydaddy and Sanada today.
First is the lovely card.
Tinkerbell: I can fly with my new wings and cute dress! Can I try jumping out of this cat tree?
Me: No.
Next is a pretty butterfly print dress, matching barrettes, and a new bird friend.
Tinkerbell: This bird matches my dress! I'll have to keep it safe from the resident felines.
Thanks dargosmydaddy and Sanada!
I managed to break her arm twice today. First, taking off her dress to redress her, at the usual upper arm joint. Then again when I was trying to remove the arm I borrowed temporarily from my sewing body so I could take the photos. It was kind of hard to get the peg to go in the shoulder and when I tried to remove it, it snapped off leaving the peg in the shoulder! I decided to stop and try another day before I break anything else.

So much cuteness! Those dresses look great on her...and her birdie pal is adorable. Sorry to hear about the broken arm though!

I think I received some swap stuff in the mail on Saturday. But....it's been a busy weekend, so I haven't gotten around to opening it yet. Hopefully soon.

Well, I first read that as you broke *your* arm (twice!), so... it could be worse?

Re: April: Earth Day swap
Serina: "Hey...I know you're in the middle of binge-watching Game of Thrones, but...can we open this?! Please and thank-you."
Serina: "Look at this pretty card! It's from Tinkerbell and Cornflower Blue. I love the butterfly and the curling ribbon tree and the sparkling paper. On the inside, it says 'the earth laughs in flowers' by Ralph Waldo Emerson.'"
Serina: "Cornflower Blue & Tinkerbell--Thank you for this backdrop! I love it."
Ummm, Serina? That backdrop needs to be unwrapped--your gift is inside.
Serina: "Thanks so much Cornflower Blue & Tinkerbell! I think this is exactly what the quote on the inside of the card meant--all these flowers look like a very joyful earth. This dress is beautiful and I love all everything about it!"
This floral print dress is amazing! I love the beaded belt accent, the blue rose necklace and the matching hair bow. The dress has tiers that make it really fan out, and there is a lacy underskirt to help it look even fuller. Serina is really a very lucky Dal.
