Road tripping to the west coast, eh?

I love the Pacific Northwest beaches and shorelines! I was lucky to be a kid and get to explore the beaches before they were all lined with mansions. There used to be wild, remote places... that looked like this picture.

My sister owns a vacation house there. It's in the not-touristy part of the beach, so it's a lot less crowded than other beaches in the area. But they are definitely not wild and remote.

She has a really recognisable sewing style, I appreciate it with any art form when someone has a notacible signature style and you can easily know its their work. I used to feel the same way about pure embers photography.

Classical Alice's wig is adorable and really makes her look like such a cutey.

She makes a lovely Shinku though? Did you watch Rozin maiden? I only found it because of pullips but it quickly became one of my favourite anime's.

I guess even boring Dals can be quite versatile. She is currently on groove's website nude with some other Dal's but I decided against her when I found a good deal on a 2nd hand Dal on eBay.

Yes, I love the Rozen Maiden manga and anime. Hina Ichigo Dal is who got me into Dal dolls!

I might give black butler a try at some point, ciel is a lovely Dal

I know nothing about the animes most of these dolls are based on, but these 2 are a cute pair.

What is Marika's resolution? McD's every single day?

That would be fun, actually; just a small fries and a beverage, not that whole "Supersize Me" thing.

I knew an older guy (yeah, older than us, even) whose daily routine was to meet up with his buddies for coffee at McD's every morning. The You-Know-What put an end to that for two years, and when McD's finally opened up again, the guys had fallen out of the habit and never picked it back up. Also, he was telling me that his local McD's discontinued the "senior discount" for coffee, and he's not willing to pay full price.

People get weird about random stuff when they get older, like expecting that five percent senior discount. Let me know if I start getting weird (weirder) about things, won't you?

(Actually, maybe it's too late; a couple of my doll friends have apparently "dropped me" from their online social circles; but they dropped everyone else, too, by leaving the forums completely. So I don't think it's me getting weird(er). But we don't usually recognize when it's us getting weird, do we? 'Kay, anyway, I'd happily meet up with you guys for fries and a soda, even if there's no discount. Daily doll club at McD's, that'd be fun!)

I would love a daily doll club that would be cool. I don't think I will ever afford to make it to the states which is a shame because I would love to attend puddle or something.
I think its human nature to assume its always something we have done other than the other person. When I started working with a mental health charity, during training one of the staff said sometimes when people go from a bad place to a good place they dont like things that they associate with the bad times so they avoid you in supermarkets because you remind them of the bad. I found that kind of helpful later because I stopped feeling like it was always personal against me. I think often when I am stressed Dolls become my distraction so maybe the same for your 'friends'

Rement is so perfect for doll photos. I have a lot but always want more.

A daily or even weekly or even monthly doll club would be great! I have a local doll club but they are mostly collectors of antique and vintage dolls, and also mostly older than me with health and mobility issues.

One thing this little exercise in posting is doing for me is showing me that some dolls, I need to take more photos of. This is Lilac (Dalcomi), it seems to be my only photo of her.

Those intense purple eyes look really cool! She needs to be dressed in some kind of future warrior robotic battle armor or something... or maybe like an eerie witch for Halloween!

(At first glance I thought the background was writhing Cthulhu-like tentacles, but I guess it's just a garden chair. Minor disappointment there.)

It can be hard to make sure everyone gets camera time once you have more than a few dolls. I NEVER thought I would have that issue!!

I really like wigs with flippy little ends like Marika's.

Sometimes one recognizes when one is getting weird.
However, it's not "weirdness" that has led to my lost contacts -- "just" philosophy.
