March 2023 — Poetry challenge!
It’s poetry challenge time again,
So get your pencils out.
You must write them all yourself –
AI bots will make us shout!
Any style of poem will do:
Limericks, sonnets, or haiku.
All dolls may participate;
You have all month, so don’t be late!

It's not quite winter and not quite spring
But these orchid blooms are just the thing!

Re: March 2023 — Poetry challenge!
C'mon, y'all, let's see some poetry!
Any kind will do, as can be seen below....
it's March, it's spring
why is snow still a Thing
all this cold
is getting old
we want palm trees
not bare knees
that freeze
no matter the date
spring's always late
this weather sucks
we have no *****
to give for winter

Re: March 2023 — Poetry challenge!
I usually like the extra hour in the fall (although I usually also waste it). So far I'm doing surprisingly well with this change, but my schedule was so completely effed up already that I suppose it just doesn't matter.
For those who may have missed the memo... "ALL dolls may participate"...
I know she's out there
connection lost; I must wait
until she comes home

I'm far too tired to think of a rhyme
Maybe I'll do it another time
Procrastination is not a friend
When will this exhaustion come to an end?
Why whenever things pick up
Does life come along to kick your butt?
I am loving everyone's contributions so far. Truefan your orchid is beautiful. Alliecat I am so over winter too, roll on sunshine!

Re: March 2023 — Poetry challenge!
If I could leave the noise behind
And find a place of peace
I'd make a path through trackless woods
And there commune with trees
No human sound to jar my soul
And soon I'd be at ease
Surrounded by the whispers
Of a gentle salty breeze
I'd easier withstand the gales
In my place beside the sea
With wild and gently growing things
The rocks, the birds, the trees.

Last call for the poetry challenge.
(Although I don't suppose anybody will complain if someone wants to sneak in a last entry or three?)
Thanks to those who posted!
pushing through darkness
raise your head toward the light
hopeful for the spring

Free verse.
You Get What You Pay For
I bought two dolls
Custom Middie Blythes
They weren’t high priced, and I knew they would not be perfect.
They are not perfect.
One of them is what I expected
An inexpert faceup but cute enough
The other one seems to have a skin disease
Probably caused by sealing her wrong
Or in the wrong weather.
Gearing myself up to contact the seller.
Sigh.

They both look OK on my little screen, but hope you get it resolved with the seller.

Re: March 2023 — Poetry challenge!
She has a kind of a white bloom that is easy to see in person. (The blue-haired girl.) Probably from being matt sprayed in the wrong temperature, and mailing her and exposing her to temperature variations brought it out.
Re: March 2023 — Poetry challenge!
I was so excited for another poetry challenge but some how March flew by! Your little has fantastic ringlets.

Yeah, it's terrifying how fast time is going.
Fortunately Miki's ringlets have stayed together better than the bigger girls'!

I love that poem about escaping human-made noise.
And the exhaustion one, with life kicking you when you're down -- yeah, I can relate these past several days.
