How big is your room box?
I've always been tempted to try and construct one, but I really don't have the space...

Re: Jahzteen's Doll Thread
oh it's not very big. it's a square room box, about one foot half on each side. it's just a little taller than taeyang. i have 2 walls and a floor, so total 3 panels. the maker gave me screws to fix all 3 panels together but i never once installed the screws because i prefer them disassembled, so i can keep them easily when i'm done with photographing they stand up pretty well without screws because there are grooves for each piece to latch and hold onto. as long as they aren't forcibly knocked over.
not my pic but it's something like this

That's pretty neat. I think it would be fun too, but I also have a space issue.

Summer babe! (i hate summer with every fibre of my being tbh)
Only had time to unbox one girl....
Re: Jahzteen's Doll Thread
i obitsu-ed sooni. initially i was going to give the body to cinnamoroll because of her legs but the flesh tone was a terrible match.. cinnamoroll has a kind of yellowish tinge to her skin that makes it hard to match with most obitsus or dal replacement bodies :cry
sooni is a little taller now because of the slightly long neck and legs (the body is a 21cm i got off aliexpress)
Re: Jahzteen's Doll Thread
It's frustrating when you can't find a colour match. I have a tan J-Doll whose T3 arms I'd like to replace.

Re: Jahzteen's Doll Thread
i had a gran via with creaky limbs! i couldn't find a body replacement for her either, so i gave her away to a friend's daughter who liked her without complaints.

Cute! The slight height difference lends a more realistic impression to group photos.

Re: Jahzteen's Doll Thread
I have discovered that this obitsu is not capable of sitting without having to be propped up against something. I'm not sure if it's because of the wider hip curvature or the overly light hip + thigh weight composition.
Re: Jahzteen's Doll Thread
Ha! It’s the same one! She is the only tan one I think, isn’t she?jahzteen wrote:i had a gran via with creaky limbs! i couldn't find a body replacement for her either, so i gave her away to a friend's daughter who liked her without complaints.
Bummer about the body. I guess they aren’t really designed to hold the weight of oversize heads?

Re: Jahzteen's Doll Thread
Yeah. I wish she was made during Gen 4 so she could have the Type 4 body, which was more movable. I would have kept her then. Jdolls have such pretty eyes. Very photogenic, too.
I was about to buy more of the obitsus for the other Dals like Ra Muw and Angry but now that she can't sit, I can forget about it.
She can stand okay. Just...weak knees as usual with these obitsus.

Re: Jahzteen's Doll Thread
Your experience is kind of why I've never rebodied; I've seen quite a few complaints about floppy obitsus. Too bad MTM would be a little big for a Dal.
It can be quite hard to choose a name sometimes!

Re: Jahzteen's Doll Thread
Thanks guys!
Ah, I really want to take a pic of some dolls outside. It's been years since I've last done this. I didn't mind it before (and had a, I-DO-WHAT-I-WANT attitude) but in the past couple of years I've become more self-conscious. >_< I have become uncomfortable with people staring.
Dal original bodies tend to flop a lot too I already had to fix a couple of Dal waists and hip joints with teflon tape. Plus I wanted to change Cinnamoroll's body for a while because of her broken feet (ankle joint). I have another Dal on obitsu. For me, the only appealing factor obitsus have is the flexibility of switching out optional hands.

What a fun, colorful group! Hair shades and styles across a broad spectrum!
I am happy to see you felt inspired to assemble a group portrait of your crew!

Re: Jahzteen's Doll Thread
Thanks guys :>
I was on Flickr and saw some doll family pics from people I'm following. So I decided to take a pic.
I wish Groove would release a tan Dal with cute eyebrows, face-up and outfit so I can finally add one to my family. I'm just so not into Katoya, Sanada and Another Rabbit's outfits. Or their weird, angry eyebrows.

Wigs with bangs can solve the weird eyebrow problem. Or there's always a mocha MIO kit...

Re: Jahzteen's Doll Thread
I don't think there's a mocha MIO kit for Dal.. at least I didn't see them on Pullipstyle when I placed an order a few weeks ago o_o
Yeah I've seen some cute Katoyas. I just feel weird about the eyebrows, even if they're hidden I know they're there...
