October-2020 challenges are here!

Hi,
I came up with a few challenges for each week of October. Feel free to post in an order that fits you the best. I will add a contestants name as many times as they joined and pull the names randomly. There will be three winners. 
Week 1 (October 1):

• Prompt 1: October, the month of art is here! Many different prompts are available for art loving dolls, I found a list here:

  Which one will your doll pick up ? Show us your creative creatures, working on their projects or choosing one
  

• Prompt 2: I miss fall colors in Florida, make me jealous, with gorgeous fall colors  in nature, clothes or ambiance.
  

Week 2 (October :

• Prompt 3: Best time to bake is Fall!  What is your doll's favorite baked good?
  

• Prompt 4 : It is right about time to start thinking about Halloween costumes, how does your doll choose a costume?
  

Week 3 (October 15): 

• Prompt 5: Self care is an important part of our lives, and holiday season is upon us, it will be hectic! what does your doll do to have a well deserved self-care. Here are some ideas.

• Prompt 6: How about a walk outside, let's all feel the breeze and enjoy season change.
  

 
Week 4 (October 22):

• Prompt 7: Pumpkin patch, pumpkin carving, pumpkin latte; show me your doll's love for pumpkin.
  

• Prompt 8: Spooky Halloween booth; let's take fun spooky photos that match this fun holiday. What would be the ideal Halloween scene?

Both pretty photos!

Florida looks similar to Hawaii--very green even in the Fall.

Looks like Thankful Peabody has some apple pie...very appropriate for Autumn.

Yes! We never get a fall I see leaves turning but that can happen any time of the year so I never know what season it is.

Thanks. When I saw the prompts I knew Thankful was the perfect doll for at least one of the photos, and I had to use the apple pie set!

Week 1 Prompt 2 Fall Colors

My Burning Bush right off my deck makes this an easy one to do. Dal Clair and Campbell-pang.  Clair's bonnet is in one of my boxes of stock and I was too lazy to go look for it.

Very nice!

Hmm, I guess this is prompt 5. Giving to others is a part of self care. Poppies support the Veterans of Foreign Wars (of which my father was one).

#3 Baking
New 2nd-favourite dessert around here is haupia pie!!  Where has this been all my life.  Ground-cherry always wins, and my plants have crapped out so there won't be a harvest of those this year, but, this pie is 'onolicious'.  Hawaiian girl Aloalo shows her Dal sisters the strawberry version.




#7 Pumpkin
Well, this is kinda the baking prompt part II, but, it's pumpkin pie!  Almost every part of the pumpkin is useable and I don't like to see them wasted.  I'm still using up the tons of puree I froze last year.  Better hustle.

Had to google haupia pie. Hope to try some someday!

Me, too! I'd never heard of it. But I see there are recipes for chocolate versions, so that might tempt me to try making one someday. And of course, the tinies are looking adorable as always.

I am so sorry I missed so many entries. I receive emails sometimes and not all the time about each post. I love the red fall colors you have cornflower blue ! She is contrasting the rich color and looking so classically beautiful.
I love nearly all pies so I am curious about haupie pie as well. I remember you never waste a good pumpkin. Glad the girls are helping out
I agree helping others is a type of self care. Poppies is supporting an important cause.

I can’t believe how fast this month is going. I even selected the dolls and dressed them and planned the scenes but still couldn’t get all of them done

I'm still hoping to do pumpkins and costumes!

Took these last weekend and then never got around to posting them... meant to tackle the rest of the themes today, and then my camera conked out... it's been one of those days, er, weeks, er months...

Prompt 2-- Fall colors
(We're focusing on the colors and completely ignoring the disappearance of Beatrice's nose...)



Prompt 3-- Baking
To me, oatmeal raisin cookies (or anything cinamonny) just says "fall"!



Prompt 6-- A Walk Outside
OK, it may have been a walk around the backyard, but it was perfect sweater weather...



Prompt 7-- Pumpkin
This was Miranda's first time outside, as well as her first time out of her stock dress. Doesn't she look thrilled? (Dress by Cornflower Blue)



Prompt 8-- Spooky Halloween
A little ghost girl in a graveyard is spooky, right?

Wow, dargosmydaddy gets busy! Great job! I love the pumpkin photo - her eyes are amazing, and she looks amazing.

(Don't know if you ever edit your photos, but darkening a photo a bit can make a doll's nose reappear. Some of the Dals have this issue regularly.)
