Her eyes are really light green, but the light does make them look yellow. She has had her ringlets re-curled at least twice. Stray hairs get everywhere and tangle them up and then it looks so messy.

I abhor waste [insert long rant about the amount of garbage humans generate], and throwing away useable stuff because people can't be bothered to fix it really grinds my gears. This little guy was at the thrift shop I help out at, and they were going to trash him!, because his whole bottom was ripped open. Argh!! Come on, I don't sew, but even I can fix that. So he paid a visit to the PTFCo medics, had a cameo photoshoot, and is all fixed up. He'll go back to the shop where I hope he'll find a good home

Good for you, and good luck to little stuffed valentine's day animal in finding a new home.
You'd hate visiting me right now. The amount of stuff we are throwing out at the library as we prepare to move is mind boggling. I keep reminding people that if we put it out in the lobby for FREE, some of it will be taken.

I mostly agree with throwing stuff out that can be fixed but at the same time my "fix it list" just for the kids has gotten so long already I've just started being ruthless about it. I'm glad your girls have been able to fix him up. I've been watching lost Ollie and it's really making me feel for all the lost and broken toys.

Hopefully they will listen to you! I'd even want to yell when the library manager would scrunch up a piece of paper and toss it when it didn't photocopy right -- HEY, you can use the back for mailing labels and reuse it! -- since we can't recycle paper here. I got them using scrap paper instead of fresh for all the inter-branch mailing labels. It was a lot of paper. I wonder if they're still doing it.TrueFan wrote:The amount of stuff we are throwing out at the library as we prepare to move is mind boggling. Ugh, I have a list of grownup stuff that needs fixing so I can sympathize. My vacuum cleaner just died this week. I took the handle apart and [insert ENORMOUSLY LONG rant about little tiny pieces of plastic that kill whole big machines when they break] while I fixed it once a few years ago, I can't get the button apart now, and so far can't find the switch assembly online. There is nothing wrong with the rest of it. Taking this thing to the dump for that one stupid 2-3mm piece of plastic makes me steam!!!!CatDragonStorm wrote:... my "fix it list" just for the kids has gotten so long already ...

Oooh, yay!!! Where did you find it? I can't wait to hear what you thought of it!
It's Celsiy. I actually thought that wig would be for Daesani, on the left, but it just didn't work on her. I wasn't sure about it on Celeste either but it's grown on me, so recently I glued it down

I guess I haven't posted Annie yet. I wanted her for ages, after coming across Mirodolls somewhere; Flickr maybe. Finally I made a big splurge and got her, and I was so excited when she arrived. But I haven't ended up photographing her as much as I hoped, because she's so hard to pose. I read about sueding joints but never got round to trying it, so she's really limited, doesn't stand that well, and tends to fall out of whatever position I put her in. Also, while I knew resin yellowed, I am really bummed by how much she has yellowed. She sits on a chair in the living room, and it's not right near the window, but I guess there's "enough" light. The worst part is the yellowing has made the pretty blush on one side of her face disappear. I am not a faceup artist so I'm stuck with it
Anyway, here she is.
Fun fact!! Did you know most bobcats are not named Bob?
This is Tony, who came from the Natural Bridge Caverns in Texas, via San Antonio.
Thanks for looking

Oh the curse of yellowing! She has quite a striking face with those blue eyes and her dress is very pretty. Plus I didn't know most Bobcats weren't called Bob. How presumptuous of me! Tony is really cute.

Annie is still a striking doll with a cute outfit and stunning eyes.
This is a fun series of images. I like the nautical-themed backdrop.
I thought tigers were named Tony. Probably another one of those widely held beliefs that is not grounded in fact.

Time for some J-Doll love! I really don't photograph them as much as I'd like to. Somehow the Pullips always jump in first. I think if they were more visible in a better cabinet I'd pay more attention to them.
Anyway, thinking about St. Patrick's Day and green things, here's Aislinn!
This was also for my pic-a-week on Dolly Market, but doll photos are like chips... you can't take just one!! xp

This little room set for this year's PUDDLE "Retro Memories" was so much work assembling all the pieces, and then was so darn cute I didn't want to take it apart.
Maybe SOME day in the NEXT house (sigghhh) I can recreate it in a cabinet.
"We'll play one of mine and one of yours, OK?"
"Listen, I can do the motorcycle."

Wow! It must have taken a lot time to make all the posters and album covers, let alone set everything up.

This is SO DETAILED! You did an amazing job! I love all of the "doll clutter" that makes it look super real. This is more or less what my room looked like growing up, too!
Re: Alliecat's crew -- PrettyTiny Film Company (Apr. 27)
Thank you everybody!
Yes, it took quite a while to find and print the posters, especially with my crappy printer that has an attack of dramatics every time I ask it to do something for me. It was a lot of fun to set up; I started making a list of things to put in the scene a few weeks ahead, so I wouldn't end up with something that should have been in the shot too late.
The little record player is SO cute. It actually plays about 20 seconds of terrible tinny music when you put each record on it.
...
Thanks to snowy for this outfit. I wasn't sure who was going to wear it first and was surprised how much I liked Red in it, with the colour contrast. It was raining so these were all the photos I took.

The more I look at the Retro memories pictures the more cleaver they get. There's so much different retro things sprinkled throughout the picture. I like how the shoes look like they've just been kicked off and the tiny rubix cube. Red looks perfectly dressed for a rainy adventure.

As I said on Facebook, Red is adorable head to toe!

I 2nd this motion. Where did the shoes come from? They are a really good scale for Dal. Did your friend knit the jumper?TrueFan wrote:As I said on Facebook, Red is adorable head to toe!

Thank you!
Yes, snowy made the sweater. I don't know where the shoes are from; they came with the sweater & pants. I wonder if it might be "mini brands"? They are just barely Dal size and quite stiff, so I wouldn't try getting them on Pullip feet.
Sara & Celeste had a photoshoot this week, mainly for a PUDDLE "Retro Memories" contest entry, but of course, you can't take just one dolly photo.
As popular as blinking Pullip eyes are, I rarely shoot them. Somehow I always think winking makes them look a little drunk.
Lighting here was sooo difficult. Not much help for a pale doll with dark hair in the sun!
"On our way to the rally", for PUDDLE "Retro Memories".

I saw these on Flickr and thought they were wonderful! I love the idea of driving past and seeing tiny girls with signs sitting at the edge of the road. I don't know which is which but pink haired girl (Celeste?) Has the cutest outfit ever and I love her silky wig. Green haired girl(Sara?) looks like the perfect hippy chick nature goddess.
