Beautiful - 2015 first theme

The first theme is a relatively easy one - Beautiful. Submit a beautiful photo.  Show off your Byul's outer (or inner) beauty! Show that Byul is not just a girl with a "great personality." 

Deadline for submission is midnight on August 9. Judging will begin August 10. You can upload your photo to the flickr group (titled: Byul-tiful - Beautiful - [your doll's name]) or send it to TrueFan to upload.

Mina is a very cute girl, but in this photo I'm trying to show her inner beauty.  
She helps abandoned animals at a shelter that belongs to her friend Tsubasa (my Pullip Hello Kitty). She loves animals so much, she feels like she's just having fun and not actually working when she's at the shelter.

A couple of cute entries! I'm still trying to decide what to do with my girl. I've change her outfit twice already and I'm still not satisfied.

This first theme is proving deceptively difficult, considering how easy it sounded at first.

(Or perhaps I'm just incompetent...)

I guess it'd help if I had a better understand of Tiger Lily's personality, but she just didn't have very much screen time! And almost no dialog at all...I'd check the book, but I can't remember where I put it...

Despite my despair last night, I finally figured out exactly what I want to do for my photo. (You did say having other Groove dolls in the shot is okay, right?)

Of course, now I just need to wait for the grass to dry from the massive rain storm yesterday....

It is definitely okay to have other Groove dolls in the photos. Loving the creativity so far!

What really makes Tiger Lily beautiful is her loyalty to her friends.  When Captain Hook discovered Peter Pan sleeping, Tiger Lily was ready to fight him off with her trusty bow!  (Obviously, Tinkerbell was trying to defend him, too, but what can a tiny pixie really accomplish?  Just don't tell Tink I said that...)

(The photo would have worked better if her bow string hadn't come undone and forced me to use a rubber band...ahem...oh well...did what I could...)

BTW, I can't join flicker--it requires text messaging, and I don't have that on my cell phone--so I can't upload a higher quality version of the picture there.  But there's a larger version of the picture on my Dropbox.

That's very odd, that flickr is asking you to have text messaging. Did you try to sign up on your phone? In any event I put your photo in the Flickr group.

No, I tried to sign up for flickr a while ago--about the same time I started my doll blog, so that would have been early this spring, I guess--and it demanded a cell phone number for "verification purposes," which I eventually learned meant that they send a text message to your phone. But my cell phone doesn't do text messages (it's a flip phone, doesn't do anything but make phone calls, very practical and--more importantly--very cheap) so I couldn't sign up for flickr. I looked around at message boards at the time, and it seemed like this was a relatively recently imposed requirement then, perhaps one that had been in place only six months or so.

I've had my Flickr account for several years, but it occasionally asks me to add my cell when I login. But like you, I have an old phone with no texting. But it gives me the option to add it later.

During Penny's walk in the garden she found a new little friend hiding behind the ivy. He is sooo cute but Penny knows she can't keep him, as he must be allowed to be free. Still she hopes he will visit again xx

Byul is beautiful because she is a wide-eyed innocent.

...sigh.  Unless some inspiration hits pretty soon, I'm out.  :'(

Alice's beauty is her childlike innocence and tongue-in-cheek sense of humor but I'm not 100% sure how to convey that.
