Best Friend - 2015 third theme

Since this contest is taking place on the Dal House Forum, it's logical to give you a chance to demonstrate Byul's friendship with her bestie Dal. (And it's okay if you don't have a Dal - your Byul can be best friends with someone or something else.)

Deadline for submission is midnight on August 23. Judging will begin August 24. You can upload your photo to the flickr group (titled: Byul-tiful - Crush - [your doll's name]) or send it to TrueFan to upload. You can also post it here.

Every time that Tiger Lily realizes just how stupid everyone else in her tribe is, and how Peter Pan is really the only other sane individual in all of Neverland (and even he isn't entirely lucid), she goes to spend time with her best friend, the spirit of the woods.  The little spirit can't speak in human words, but they're able to communicate anyway, and being with him helps Tiger Lily keep calm in the face of her absurd situation.

[Sadly, my PhotoShop ability was not up to the challenge of removing that blorp of escaped hair.  Grass is trickier than a blank wall.]

Byul-tiful - Best Friend - Delicate Tip Toe

Well, I had no bright ideas for this one. We can always look at a couple of cute besties sharing a quite moment.

"Two Leopards"



Nerissa says: my best friends are these two giant leopards that live in our palace! They are soft and I can snuggle and tell them my secrets; when they're -sleeping-!

Severity says: none of my ideas worked the way I wanted and this feline photobomb cracks me up every time I look at it, so I thought I'd share it with you. If it makes someone smile, it was better than not entering, right? :3

Anna planned the Friday evening with Tesca's and her favorite must have ingredients: Best friend, pizza and juice! Perfect!

But it just got even better when Tesca tells Anna she is her bestest friend in the whole world! And then surprises her by sealing their friendship with a best-friend necklace!

Although Anna knows the two are besties, they have been forever, she is overjoyed with this lovely gift that confirms their special connection.

Those two giant leopards sure look friendly and cuddly! I can fully imagine them being best friends with not just Nerissa but anyone who likes to pet them!

I struggled with this one, particularly as I have plenty of Dals I wanted to potentially use.  I had a couple ideas that were ultimately far too complicated for the time frame (once I figured them out), and finally I realized that Lilith actually doesn't actually have any real friends.  I think I managed to convey her loneliness here.  Byultiful 3 Best Friends by Kathryn Dodd, on Flickr

I took note of my photo reviews so I tried to give it a better background this time. Thanks for taking the time to examine the photos and give us constructive criticisms.

My pair of "giant leopards" are lynx point snow bengals - and they are very soft and absurdly friendly. I got them when they were about a year old as a rescue from a breeder that had been shut down. Zuki's spots are muddled but gosh he is the clingiest most co-dependent cat I've ever known. I had to clear a space next to my pillow for him to sleep in. Hoshi, his half-brother, is littler and spottier and has these giant kitteny eyes he inherited from his 4x great grandfather who was an actual Asian leopard cat. These guys were crossbreeds with Siamese cats which means they never shut up and they're terribly clever and will destroy Everything You Love. Luckily I managed to train them to only sniff the dolls and not touch!
(my older cat Athena breaks this rule; she's in feline love with one of my Bjds and will run her face on his hands like he's petting her and will sleep with her head in his lap. She's delicate so I allow it because she's really adorable)

Yes, I'm late, but I'm not competing so it doesn't really matter.

Your Euphie is clearly much happier than my Lilith. I love how different the same doll can seem. I think I'm starting to figure out angles on Byul's face with these photos too.
