Re: Cat's Dolls
Oh, that's cute. Is it 1/12?
Hmm... maybe you could build a doll village in your yard?
So... you wanna go halves on a private island with no lousy neighbours from hell??!

Will definitely go halves on a private island with no neighbours from hell. The only thing we have close to a yard is a communal area so NFH would definitely ruin it. I think they are supposed to be moving soon though so maybe when they leave I'll build a fairy garden for all the nice kids to play with. It was 1/12th scale. Would have made a good mansion for the little pullips.

Re: Cat's Dolls
How nice that you have cherry blossoms! That would be lovely. Can you eat those cherries or are they more like bitter bird-food cherries?
You posed her so cute -- is it the body she's on that allows her head to tilt like that? None of mine on their stock bodies do.
Ooh, that would be great for you if your NFH leave. 1 or 2 people keep saying to me "I hope your bad neighbours move" and I'm like, what, all FOUR of them? And the worst one is building more -- he ain't movin.

Re: Cat's Dolls
I actually don't know if they produce cherries you can eat. My cousin seemed to think these particular ones were actually plum blossoms, she lived in Japan for a year and had attended the Cherry blossom festivals. Which I must admit I'm quite jealous of. They seem to be quite common decoration over here so I've never really thought twice about fruit. She's on an Obitsu 27 cm, the old kind which are naturally a bit floppy Lillys head seems to tilt more than its straight so I'm just accepting it as her trait feature.
I'm most pleased with this picture because I got her to stand on her own with No chopstick!
@Alliecat- if you really want away from your neighbours my street is about to have an empty house on it

Lilly looks great with the cherry blossoms! Her hair color really pops against that sky!

Heehee... Â Only if it comes with a lot of land around it!! Â I would like to see more of the UK. Â I see these gorgeous wide open spaces of the English Downs, and Scottish highlands, and Irish just greeeen everywhere, and I think I'd like to live there too ... >siggghhhh<CatDragonStorm wrote:

Flowering plums makes sense. Â I've seen them in Canada. Â I just looked them up and it says ornamental ones don't produce fruit. Â I wonder what happens to the pollinated flowers then.

Re: Cat's Dolls
Thank you Dee. The lighting did come out unexpectedly well. Hmm I guess it must be the same with flowing cherry blossoms too. If you ever just fancied a visit to the UK I'm sure you could find some house sitting gigs here.

Re: Cat's Dolls
Yep, there are tons of housesits in the UK. I would like to be able to do that someday. Not sure how I’d fare driving on the “wrong“ side of the road!

Re: Cat's Dolls
I get that feeling even playing video games where you drive on "the wrong side of the road"
We went to the beach today as it was very hot! Alice came along for the ride.
I built a wonky sandcastle. We didn't have buckets and spades so I took a tupperware tub and some soup spoons.
We stopped at the harbour on the way home and waited for the chippy to open.
"Can you hear the sea, Alice?"
C (3yo going to be 4yo in 2 weeks that's scary) said he couldn't hear the sea in this shell, only the wind. A (2yo going to be 3yo in 1 month) had lots of fun giving the beach cuddles and running in and out of the water. C didn't want to go in the water only digging.
All in all it was a lovely day even in spite of the coming home tantrums.

Re: Cat's Dolls
Oh how nice, the beach on a hot day! Looks like you didn't have to share it with anyone. Also looks like your sandcastle-building equipment worked just fine. And it's always interesting to see different harbours around the world and what sorts of boats are in them.
Alice is so cute. I like the last pic of her best.
...is it the wind... or distant whales whispering...?
...hmmm, there's an idea... there's probably a driving simulator I could practice on!

Re: Cat's Dolls
I'm just very good at not catching people in the shot, which is a miracle because it was too bright to see what I was aiming at. It was actually really busy and very hot for Scotland so I felt a bit sunstrokey on Sunday. I like the idea of distant whales whispering but it does make me think of Dory speaking whale

Re: Cat's Dolls
Yesterday I went on a hunt to see if I could find pictures of Luna at Puddle. After going through all the puddle pictures trufan had on Flickr to no avail, I then realised you could go on the puddle website and view pictures from previous years. I couldnt remember the exact yesr but knew it must have been between 2010-2014. There she was under 2012. I never attended puddle myself but the person who customised her first did and took her a long for the show. These are the 3 photos I found.
I think she won something but I can't remember what. She's changed a lot since then!

I think so. I do remember him sending me some stuff back with her but I don't remember now what. I wish I had kept better inventory. I also wish I hadn't lost contact with him either. I wonder what he's up to these days.TrueFan wrote:"Professor Emil won third place for his Dal Anastasia." Maybe?

Must have been fun when you finally unearthed those old photos. It's cool that you were able to find some of her "history".

Oh my gosh, what a cool set! I can't wait until my son is older and I can buy fun playsets "for the child," haha. I am in love with the LEGO medieval blacksmith shop that has similar vibes to this but can't justify buying it for myself!
Re: Cat's Dolls
That looks like fun! I think it was Playmobil that had a pirate ship which looked pretty cool too.
