Better late than never!
Technically, they are in a tree...
So as not to photodump, I'll put the rest from this shoot over on the PTFCo page.

Yes! Go Samantha upside down, she really does look like she is in mid swing.

this "dals in trees" thing has done pretty well - what should we do next month?
Re: October: Dals in trees
I was wondering if maybe a teaparty was a good idea for a theme?

Re: October: Dals in trees
Last day of the month, last Dal up a tree. Emily (monomono) joins the parade.
I also took some pictures of my favourite trees on my walk, this challenge is giving me a new appreciation.
These very old trees have saved us from getting a big corporate building development right outside our house, so they deserve some appreciation. I have no idea what's going on with the sky though. I didn't use any filters or edit it, it just went very glowy.

How appropriate, Emily dressed up as a little squirrel-or-bear-or-tree-dwelling-creature!

Re: October: Dals in trees
Her stock outfit was based on the monkey King sun waking, from Chinese mythology. Its actually worth a bit of reading and investigation if you're interested in this sort of thing. I out her back in it because I thought it would make a good tree picture but also because her foot is broken (TODDLERS!!!). I still feel like I'm struggling to find her style.davidd wrote:How appropriate, Emily dressed up as a little squirrel-or-bear-or-tree-dwelling-creature!

This is one time you shouldn't blame the toddler. All Monomonos break their ankle(s) eventually.
Re: October: Dals in trees
Some fun photos to end the month. It’s nice to hear that you didn’t get development because there were trees – I think more often it’s the case that they just cut all the trees down because they want to develop. Looks like a nice walk. That second-last one with the multicolour foliage looks really pretty. Are they maples?

Re: October: Dals in trees
I think the red one peeking out of the bushes was definitely a maple. We are lucky to have lots of different trees here, birches, oaks etc. I've even seen lots of unusual mushrooms that I suck at identifying.
The age of the trees was one of the main reasons cited along with potential danger to pedestrians and cyclists. Yay trees!

Re: October: Dals in trees
Lipoca asks that I convey her appreciation for your good taste and aesthetic sense for placing her image in the center of the November banner.
Tezca applauds your good sense in recognizing her daring and unparalleled tree-climbing expertise by placing her at the highest point in the collage; or as she humbly noted: "At the very top, where I belong!"
That was a great round that generated a lot of fun photos!
