Re: TrueFan's Smart Dolls
It's a little too big for her, but it looks great on her. Mohair from the Doll Peddlar.
Re: TrueFan's Smart Dolls
The hand, haha.
Her wig is like a kind of glow-y halo.
Is she new...?

Re: TrueFan's Smart Dolls
Yes, my first Smart Doll! So many of my doll friends are majorly into Smart Doll now that I bought one defensively. She arrived about a week ago.
I really want a new blue doll coming out later this year.

I like her facial expression--she seems so...unimpressed? Smug?
I know nothing about SmartDolls, but the ones that I see you all posting seem pretty neat.

Re: TrueFan's Smart Dolls
They're like big, expensive, Obitsus.
I love her in that wig. I don't see a lot photos with these dolls in mohair wigs. Many Smart Doll owners seem to prefer the to buy Smart Doll wigs. Maybe they don't realize they can fit other brands or maybe they're just hung up on the brand.
I would keep an eye on her body and make sure it doesn't absorb any dye from this wig. Vinyl is more prone to staining than the typical Dal/Pullip body. It probably won't stain, but I'm pretty paranoid because of their cost and you may or may not be able to get a replacement part from someone who has gotten extra parts from the Chaos lots.

Thanks for the tip!
FYI I bought a 7/8 mohair wig from Doll Peddlar and - it doesn't fit. I mean, I can really squash it on there but it *looks* too small.

Re: TrueFan's Smart Dolls
Oh and thanks for the staining tip. I definitely need to get her a wig cap.

Got a new Smart Doll with a realistic nose! Knowledge!
I was happy that she didn't instantly sell out once she was listed for sale.

She looks a lot like Karen Gillan to me.

Ooooh! The "realistic nose" looks really cute! And much more realistic on the semi-realistic face.
Nice wig, too! It suits her! She's a cutie!
And... a STAR TREK uniform! How... bold!

I was planning to put the Star Trek uniform on a fantasy-colored doll, but I'm waiting...for one with a realistic nose.

Ooooh! Cool! The cloisonné version! She looks better in your pics than in the site promo images! To me, this is the most intriguing of the "non-standard" figures Smart Doll has produced. Nice addition to the crew!

Re: TrueFan's Smart Dolls
I agree. I really want the blue version but feel like there is a good chance I won't ever get here, so I decided to buy cocoa. And I'm not sorry!davidd wrote:Ooooh! Cool! The cloisonné version! There is a very good chance I will sell Freedom, especially if I do get blue Relentless.
Re: TrueFan's Smart Dolls
They look really nice all together like that. I love their outfits.

Three is a good number of Smart Dolls. For me, four had me considering selling one.
Your girls' outfits are really cute! Looks like a mix of Culture Japan and non-CJ pieces?

Re: TrueFan's Smart Dolls
Thanks all! The girl on the left is wearing a Smart Doll outfit with shoes gifted to me by the_amphibian.
The middle girl is wearing a dress I bought on etsy, made from a pattern by Requiem Art. I bought it for my first girl but it has sparkly gold that looks good on Relentless. Her boots and the boots on the girl on the right are from ebay. (Smart Doll shoes and boots are soooo expensive.) Her socks are actually repro socks for an antique doll!
The girl on the right is wearing a Smart Doll jacket and a jumpsuit made by and gifted to me by offgenemi.

Re: TrueFan's Smart Dolls
I thought blue would be my first Smart Doll, but it took so long for one to be released, and then they were so hard to come by, that she wasn't. But I have one now! I really love the "repaired" dolls.
