Challenge #3
That's cute, Kirakira. Love all the little shells.
This is a total cheat so I don't mind if you disqualify it. I just had some fun and much-needed distraction setting it up.
The PrettyTiny Film Company mini contingent wishes to inform everyone that when you are so tiny, in such a great big world, you will seize any advantage available, and therefore they are absolutely not above cheating at any opportunity.
Penny is already a Pisces. So here she is, being, well, fishlike. Obviously I didn't make anything here.

It's a really neat photo...she's not actually in the water, is she? Th floating fish are pretty cool.

It looks like she's behind the fish bowl. I see her tail fin peaking out from behind it at the lower left.

Challenge #2: Floral Outfit
Yay! I finished one! Here is Lana modelling the floral outfit. It's made from 2 different kinds of pink silk flowers with 1 tiny white one for an accent on top of 2 different kinds of leaves that make up the lower portion. Everthing is sewn onto a white cloth base and I used some of the leftover green wired stems for the should straps.

Re: October : Project runway
Thanks! I thought the main flowers were a little too large in scale, but then, less were needed to be sewn on.

Here it is - the world's most pathetic paper dress! Modeled by my embarrassed Phoebe Petrichor.

This is definitely not an event that plays to my strengths.

Hooray for more entrants and dresses!
Lovely floral dress, Cornflower Blue. I like the skirt leaves and the pretty pink color of the flowers.
The words make a great print for the paper dress, True Fan. I really like the matching hair accessory.

I think you are too hard on yourself. Honestly i love the dress. it has Mod style and i love the paper you chose. I am obsessed with this type of fabric but I didnt think about using one, brilliant. she looks very cute! it is a very complicated dress.TrueFan wrote:Here it is - the world's most pathetic paper dress! Thanks for coordinating it, offgenemi!
Let's just say my paper dress is - minimalist.

Challenge #4
Here's the last available Dal I had. The other girls are STILL wearing the dress I made, and so since Tuesday the Edge is my most...challenging...Dal, I decided to make her a party dress that she actually would like. I started off by choosing her favorite colors--black and red--and then digging in my fabric stash for stuff to use. A little bit of lace & stretchy sequined material and a few cm of ruffly elastic was all I needed.
For this dress, I actually took the sewing machine out of the closet, though I suppose I could have just as easily sewed it by hand, as there weren't that many stitches used.
Thanks so much for hosting such a fun anniversary event, Offgenemi! I didn't think I would be able to participate, but I enjoyed pushing myself to complete the various challenges.
