September 2021 -- poetry challenge!

There once was a forum for Dals
Whose dolls and their people were pals
Creative and fun
Were the poems they spun
So write something now, guy(s?) and gals!

September's challenge is... poetry.
You can write anything at all.  Limericks, haikus, rhyming couplets, Shakespearean sonnets.  
There will be prizes.  Each poem you post is good for one ticket in the draw.  Post a photo and write a poem about it for 2 tickets.  All dolls are welcome.

Don't be intimidated -- It doesn't have to be tremendously articulate (see the above) -- you get points for effort.  I won't nitpick about haikus having to be about nature, and they might be the easiest for people to start with: just 3 lines, with 5, 7 and 5 syllables.

My limerick isn't funny or naughty - but it does sort of rhyme.

There once was a dolly named Crystal
And Crystal was really a pistol
She flew to TrueFan
Where she made a plan
To stay there and so she is there still

I climbed up a tree
Trying to escape the world
Now I am stuck here

I can relate!!  There aren't even any good climbing trees here, but I might rather be stuck up a tree than still looking for an escape......

I need to photograph the prizes
They should be Dal and Pullip sizes
But since the news just hurts my head
I'm mostly hiding home in bed.
Perhaps next week I'll get it done

Since I mentioned Talk like a Pirate, I felt I should contribute something with a pirate, even if it's not a sea shanty.

There once was a pirate maiden fair
Who searched for treasure on a dare
But the treasure was cursed
And that's not the worst
Since the doomed skulls at her did swear

CB, I like how you used the dappled sun and shade without it messing up the contrast. That is often a challenge for me. That would be a scary treasure to find, ha ha.
TF, her dress and the background both are quite pretty.

I feel like I & my pirate crew really let down the side by not doing a photo today. But I just got home after a weekend of driving (last hurrah “away“ before they shut us down for Apocalypse 4.0).

I wish I could claim to be a genius photographer, but my Pixel phone did all the work. I would have liked to include Ciel's eye patch and Peter Pan's knife, but if would have taken some effort to dig them out of the doll closet of doom.  At least I managed to find the MGA pirate dress and the LPS parrot.
