Re: Cat's Dolls
We're on Holiday! Alice has come to keep me company in London.
Alice: how long until the plane?
Me:Not long now
Alice: I don't see it? Oh no wait there it is!.
Alice:Bye Scotland!
Alice: Time for some breakfast before all the adventures of the day! Where are we going today?
Me: I have no idea, no one else is awake yet.
Alice:ah well at least I can enjoy breakfast in peace.
Alice: hey look 2nd breakfast!
Me: you're not a hobbit by any chance?
Alice: I dunno, you're the one everyone calls short!

Re: Cat's Dolls
Ha! Nice "Hobbit" reference with the second breakfast, there!
Charming place you are staying! It looks much cozier than a hotel! Is this a holiday rental house, or are you staying with friends or relatives?
I love the dolly-sized cereal bowl and box!

Re: Cat's Dolls
We are staying with my Aunt, her house is beautiful and much tidier than mine. The mini cereal is a mini makie set, they are a lot of fun, they come with resin in a milk carton and you make it yourself, same with the juice.
We went for some retail therapy today, but actually it was a little stressful because it was so bust. We visited a korean market and this lovely little shop called artbox. They had some lovely Sanrio jewellery boxes in shap of a sofa and in shape of a wardrobe, perfect pullip size. Unfortunately not perfect pullip price so I settled for a little suitcase and some other knicknacks.
Alice: don't you love my new bow?

Re: Cat's Dolls
The Sanrio snorkeler is cute! It reminds me of when I lived in Hawaii; there was a Sanrio Hello Kitty store at the Ala Moana shopping mall that featured Hawaii-specific Hello Kitty gifts, including hula dolls and surfers.

@ Alliecat- Flight was an hour and a half but it was my first time flying with little kids (2, 3 and 14) so that made it feel a LOT longer . I'm pleased with the table picture it came out nice, I would have liked to have got more pictures out and about but it was so busy with tourists it was hard to stop for a moment.
Davidd- the display was all underwater themed it was amazing they had these lovely paper jellyfish.

Those jellyfish are impressively clever! The look like half the globe from one of those folding paper lanterns, with strings of cut-out tentacles!

Re: Cat's Dolls
@Davidd. I think that's exactly how they did them, it was very cool. I've never had to que to get into a shop it felt very exclusive.
Kuromi dreams.
Mm Mochi for breakfast.
Today was quite lazy, we went to feed the ducks and then it rained so heavy we went home. Unfortunately my youngest has ended up with a very bad infection so I spent the rest of the day in the hospital. I hope the rest of the holidays pick up.

Re: Cat's Dolls
Oh dear, I hope your little one is feeling much better soon. Â Nuthin like getting sick on a holiday. Â
The jellyfish are neat. Â And the pic of Kuromi sleeping is very cute -- all tuckered out from her holidaying.
....It's funny, I looked up Google Maps because in the first place I thought "It's far enough that they had to fly?", and I'm surprised again to read it was 1 1/2 hours. Â In big ol' Canada I think of the UK as smaller than it really is, haha.
Anyway, hope the holiday improves.

Re: Cat's Dolls
When I went to blythe con many years ago, the lady who organised it was American and she said she didn't understand why British people wouldn't travel to it, but we aren't as well connected in terms of travel as the states are and often the only options are very long hours on buses and trains. The flights were very expensive and we are only here by the good grace and generosity of my Aunt. Today we went to the aquarium. It was hard to photograph Alice again because it was busy and very dark.
Here's some of the aquatic animals

What amazing sea creatures! This looks like a very nice aquarium, indeed!
I'm intrigued by that round "port hole" style window. Not much good for actually seeing things, I suppose, but the window itself looks interesting.

Aquariums are amazing places and fun for doll photos! I hope your kiddo is feeling better.
Re: Cat's Dolls
Such an adorable photo of her in front of Big Ben! And such a cute dress too.
I love aquariums. Thanks for showing us! Looks like you're having lots of fun outings.

Re: Cat's Dolls
The big Ben photo was helped by my Aunt holding her up because there was nowhere good to put her. I sewed her outfit especially for this trip so I'm glad you all like it. We have made it home in one piece, now its the dreaded unpacking, but I think maybe a cup of tea first!

Oh wow, you made the dress! Terrific job.
Ugh, unpacking. Hope you have a nice rest and enjoy the memories of your trip.

What a wonderful setting: a grassy embankment leading down to the bay!
The red hair contrasting with the rich green grass makes for an engaging photo, even if the sun chose to hide!

Lovely to be within walking distance of the water. She's very pretty. And hey, everyone will be complaining about the cold in no time. I'll take the hot weather, thank you.

Re: Cat's Dolls
The problem is the Sun doesn't like me, its starting to get personal. He's all like "oh look at me so glorious and sunny" and I'm like "yay sunshine let's do some laundry" and then he's like "did you say laundry? That's my que to leave" and then he pulls a cloud over his face while I sob tears into the clothes of another wasted day. That and I always get headaches. I don't really want the summer to be over either though. We've had some really nice sunny days they just don't seem to last. Lily says thank you both for the compliments, she is feeling very pretty in her new dress.

Re: Cat's Dolls
A look at my doll displays. I got some new doll stands so I thought I'd take the opportunity to take some photos of my doll displays while they are still relatively tidy- there's always something carelessly stuffed on the shelves that I've had to hide from little grabby hands. .
Pullip shelf.
Dal and other knick knacks, you can see the poor naked dormouse, broken and eagerly waiting some TLC.
China doll shelf, where my doll obsession started. Echo is up here because she has a loose eye. The white thing in the middle is a baby monitor.
Echo is having a very bad year. Back in June I took her for a photoshoot outside and she fell off a fence post and lost a cat ear, attached with magnets. At the same time my 2 year old discovered nettles. I did go back but never recovered it. The kids are not normally allowed in my room and we have a baby gate across the door, however this week due to illness they have been in, 2 year old managed to get a hold of Echo and she lost an eye. I found the eye chip but it's now poked back in squint until I also have time to open her up and put back properly, that's why she's up high with the China's.
And lastly the council of Goths also got some new doll stands, the top shelf is the elite council of the covenant. The bottome shelf (not pictured) is chaos and probably won't be inducted back in to the covenant until they pull it together and get some stands to stop falling over like drunkards.
So there's a peek into my personal display and my weird brain.

Re: Cat's Dolls
Oooh... a Council of Goths! And even an Elite Council of the Coven! That's just cool!
I see one of the Goths masquerading as a Pullip. Has she been cast out, shunned, exiled? Or is she recruiting for the coven?
