The larger figure is a Jiaou 10E.
The smaller figure is a TBLeague S45.

Each is balanced on one foot with no external support.

For some reason this makes me think of the Boston Dynamics robots....

I had to look up "Boston Dynamics"... but did recognize that I'd seen one of their robots somewhere.

It was an abridged version of Ankylosaur Week this year, because I only have one ankylosaur with me, one that I rescued from a rubbish bin. I actually had all my ankylosaurs boxed up and ready to bring to Florida, since I knew I'd probably be here in February, but I managed to forget them when I packed.

It’s hard enough remembering all the stuff you NEED to take on a trip, let alone adding the extra “fun” stuff. So that one dinosaur was a serendipitous find!

This is such a cute and fun photo. I can almost hear them.

Usually, half the stuff I thought I'd "need" I end up not needing or using, while the things I meant to pack but didn't are what I end up needing.

15 February – A Doll A Day 2023:


One never knows what Triv and Janie might drag home on rubbish pick-up day. This time it was a Travelers Palm plant. Travelers Palms spread prolifically once established, and one of the neighbors a block over had set a root cluster out for "green waste" pick-up.

After dividing the root ball, the girls planted two separate plants. The roots exhibited considerable damage, but the girls hope that with regular watering, these two plants might become sufficiently re-established to survive.

The first photo is so cute and realistic.

Those of you who have followed Trivia and Jane's adventures for a while know that clearing drains is nothing new to them. This time, however, Triv noted that the clog was much yuckier than usual!

You need a screen on the drain... Like a couple bucks at the dollar store....

18 February - A Doll A Day 2023:


A book? A doll-sized book? Could this be the start, the beginning, a tentative first step toward my long-held goal of creating a miniature haunted library?

Well... it's probably just a book. A single book. Because considering how long it took me to make it, and how crudely it turned out (hence the over-processed photograph), yeah, uhm, an entire library likely remains a fantasy project.

Well, if they're old books, they would look a little rough, wouldn't they?
Don't be so hard on yourself.  Your crafted items are way better than all the ones other people haven't made.  At least you made something.
