And repeating myself from Dolly Market, what a nifty little sextant!
The nifty little sextant is a Pullip accessory. I believe it is from the Pullip EOS set.
Out in the yard... okay, I can do that.

If Pops had known how big the back yard excavation project would become, he would have made sure Janie and Triv, the industrious Smart Dolls, joined the Florida crew this season.

They are fun photos, but oh dear... you don't seem to be able to escape a ton of work and maintenance no matter where you are!

The sextant isn't pullip Eos. Veritas maybe? Maybe we should set you some personal challenges to get your enthusiasm for photos flowing again? I want to see if one of you action figures can do a handstand! The doll sized pickaxe and shovel are awesome!

Oh... it's not? Maybe it was from one of the other "steampunk" Pullips? Or, as you say, the pirate Veritas? I don't have Veritas, but I used to have Veritas. Could it be from Taeyang Hook? I also have a telescope that I thought came from a Pullip doll.
Note: no, the Veritas telescope is different.
Now I'm confused.
Actually, now I'm concerned. Why would I have thought the sextant was a Pullip item? I've believed that for a long time. Or... I think I've believed that for a long time.
Is my mind going?
I've just looked. There are no markings on either the sextant or the telescope.

For years I have believed this miniature sextant and telescope were Pullip doll items, but I just learned that apparently they are not.
Is my mind going? I cannot for the life of me remember where I got these. They must have come with something else... but with what?
Then again... if I recall accurately... which is increasingly problematic, apparently... the Pullp doll I thought these belonged to was purchased second-hand. Perhaps the seller included these with the doll.
Or I might be misremembering that as well.
I dunno where these little more-or-less 1/6-scale navigational instruments hail from, but they're pretty neat.

I had a quick google at Eos and I thought it was hers. But I was only looking at a small picture. Having looked again, whatever she is holding does look different. They are pretty neat – who cares where they came from I guess!
I like Cat’s idea. How about, one of your characters cooking/baking something. You’ve got to eat… So you wouldn’t have to set up too much for that.

You've really got me wondering about the sextant now too. I own both hook and eos, both were NIB and I definitely haven't seen it as an accessory before but it definitely seems to be a nautical prop.

You can see the telescope that came with Tantus here. I would think that if a Pullip came with one it would be the same.

I looked through a lot of my old photos and I was unable to determine where or when the telescope and sextant first appeared or when I got it. Now I am most confuzzled.

Oh both the "moon pie" picture and the "pleasant screams" look like posters for exciting 80s/90s cartoons! I love the vibrant colours in both but you've really got the shadows spot on in "pleasant screams"

The Disney "Bambi" themed ILY4Ever doll was almost tempting when I saw it in the toy aisle, mostly because of the nicely designed hat.
But I resisted my initial impulse to add one to my shopping cart.

ooh, I've not seen those in stores! I really like the Alice inspired outfit I bought.
Re: davidd's A DOLL A DAY 2024
I feel like she should come with a little Bambi figurine or plush

Re: davidd's A DOLL A DAY 2024
I honestly love the ily 4ever line so much. The fashion packs are adorable (and fit Pullip/Obitsu) and the dolls look so cute. I kind of wonder if their bodies could be used for a Pullip - they have a huge range of skin tones and I'm not sure what people are doing now that the darker-toned Obitsu bodies are no more!
I'm sad that the newer dolls don't come with the Disney balloon with a surprise food mini inside, but they do come with two outfits so I guess that's better in the end?
But $30 is a lot for a doll I would mostly pillage for the outfits! I check the Disney site from time to time to see if they go on sale, there are a few on there for closer to $20 right now.

Bratz "Blind Box" Flashback Minis Series 2
.
I am tempted by the Bratz Flashback Minis every time I see them, but the trauma of getting duplicates the first time I purchased these "blind box" toys has been sufficient to deter me from making further purchases.
The trauma, plus the nine bucks a pop they cost.

The ILY have beautiful clothes but they are so expensive here. I saw some in the disney store in London and was tempted until I saw the price. Why are the tiny bratz so expensive?

Re: davidd's A DOLL A DAY 2024
I get that trauma over duplicates. I bought three LOL surprise dolls for my nephew's stepdaughters at Thanksgiving and out of all the possibilities, I got two of the same (and they were the twins, which are the worst of all the possibilities because the clothing doesn't fit them).
